Back in September, someone reached out to ask if I could use a leather jacket to make a memory bear.
I had never sewn leather fabric before, but I agreed to take a look at the jacket. If I wasn’t confident that I could do it, I’d send the jacket back.

I received the jacket (and 2 shirts) and decided to go for it. The leather was great to work with and not near as think as I thought it would be.

I’m so glad I tried it! I was able to use some of the unique parts of the jacket on each bear. They turned out even better than I thought they would.

I learned that the jacket belonged to a mother, and the bears were for her daughters. The mother loved that jacket & wore it often. The mother’s sister is who placed the order. She thanked me several times for making them.
