Terms of Service

By placing an order with Deer Creek Designs you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or place an order.

Every piece — memory bears, memory pillows, modern quilts, and t-shirt quilts — is handmade to order from materials you provide. Because each item is unique to you, please read the relevant product page for what to send, lead times, and what to expect.

• Bears and pillows are paid in full at the time of order.
• Modern quilts and t-shirt quilts require a $250 non-refundable deposit to reserve a slot.
• The balance for quilts is invoiced once the design is approved and before shipping.
• Prices may change; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay for that order.

Lead times listed on each product page are estimates from the date your materials arrive. Quilts and busy seasons (holidays, graduation) can run longer. We'll always let you know if your timeline shifts.

• Please send clean, undamaged items. We're not able to launder garments before working with them.
• Damage to fabric (existing stains, tears, fragile prints) is sometimes unavoidable in the construction process.
• Scraps and pieces not used in your finished item are not returned unless requested in advance.
• We're not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit to us. We recommend tracking.

Finished items ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx with tracking. Once a package is handed to the carrier, risk of loss passes to you. We'll help file a claim, but we can't replace lost or damaged shipments at our cost.

Because every piece is custom-made from your own materials, all sales are final. See our Refunds & Returns policy for the rare exceptions (defects in our workmanship, errors on our end).

You confirm you have the right to use the garments and any logos, team names, or copyrighted artwork on them for a personal keepsake. We may share photos of finished work on our website and social channels; tell us in advance if you'd prefer we didn't.

Photos, copy, and design on this site belong to Deer Creek Designs. Please don't reproduce them without permission.

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for that order. We're not liable for indirect or sentimental damages.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Effingham County, Illinois.

We may update these terms occasionally. The version in effect for your order is the one posted at the time you placed it.
